Barbarea australis/Austral Wintercress is an edible species from the Brassicaceae/Mustard family and has a limited distribution on stony fresh water riverbanks, photographed today in my garden. The leaves are edible with a peppery taste and we add the leaves fresh to salads and sandwiches or to hot dishes such as stir-fries and pies. The plant species is endemic to Tasmania and is listed as a threatened species, so wild harvesting is not permitted. The Plants of Tasmania Nursery at Ridgeway supplies this plant for sale, which I find to be a hardy garden plant that grows well in most situations.
